本場比賽騎士一度落後 18 分逆轉，但他們最終翻盤，這是 NBA 史上搶七最大分差逆轉的數字。 Mitchell 在第三節單節拿到 17 分，帶隊打出 33：15 的反擊率隊反超。

當然 Mitchell 主要是不希望不尊重對手，畢竟魔術這一輪系列賽帶給他們很多挑戰。但另一方面是否也有一點不想對上塞爾提克的意味呢？
Mitchell 首輪場均出戰 37.4 分鐘，可得到 28.7 分 5 籃板 4.4 助攻 1.4 抄截，投籃命中率 45.9% ，三分命中率 25% ，罰球命中率 82.4% 。 Mitchell 在系列賽 G6 和 G7 一共砍下了 89 分，這在NBA史上僅次於艾佛森的 90 分。另外他首輪共砍了 201 分，這讓他成為了騎士隊史繼 LeBron James 之後，又一位能在季後賽單輪系列賽中砍下 200+ 得分的球員。
